COMMENTARIES BASED ON THE BIASES IN THE EQUIBASE STATS MAY OR MAY NOT REPEAT -  

 

CONTENDERS 

1. BIG SWEEP is the program pick but it accomplished only a mild final stretch pacebias in his only start on 14Mar20 at 3SA Msw 55k 6f. He took the lead in the back stretch, opened up a 1 1/2 lead with 3f to go, was in command and turned it on with a furlong to go for the easy win.

2. BETTOR TRIP NICK is the program second pick. Did not accomplish any final stretch pacebias until his last race but it was a very mild, minute, late charge pacebias.  He accomplished the best early speed pacebias in this field in his second race out on 7Sep19 at 3GG Str 50k 5 1/2f. In that race he opened up a 3 length early speed duel, they opened up 5 lengths rounding the turn, took the lead with a furlong to go but was defeated by a closer at the wire.

3. CLUB ASPEN is the program third pick at 4-1 morning line. On 30Nov19 at 3Dmr Aoc80k 6f CLUB ASPEN accomplished the most impressive final stretch pacebias. Was shuffled back early, then was 4 wide into stretch from 5 lengths off pace  for the place.  

4. PHANTOM BOSS is also at 4-1 morning line.  Has always accomplished mild final stretch pacebiases but nothing that sticks out like a sore thumb. In his last race he faded into a negative pacebias at the final stretch for the first time but now has Drayden Van Dyke for the first time.  

NON-CONTENDERS 

1. ROOKIE MISTAKE has been accomplishing final stretch pacebias in his last 5 races beginning on 1Dec19 at 8Dmr Msw 52k 5 1/2f. He broke fast and stayed in the front group, turned for home along with that 3 horse group in the lead, was in front at the top of the lane, and got the place from the 12 post.  Only Club Apen has a more impressive final stretch pacebias than    

2. AUDACE. AUDACE accomplished that pacebias also on 1Dec19 at 8Dmr Msw52k 5 1/2f. Turning for home he speeded up from about 9 lengths in last(Trackmaster plus pro says 5 1/2 lengths back early on?) and finished 5th 8 1/4 lengths back.
